of Tendril Nightfall playing cards, designed by Paul Carpenter (Encarded) and made by the U.S. Playing Card Co.
Carpenter's original Tendril deck was a smash success, and this one is bound to be, too. You'll recognize some of the design elements from the original, as well as the cool but vivid blue, green hues and red hues used throughout the deck.
According to Encarded:
"Nightfall is a mirror of the original, with much the same art and layout. We designed the original to be as if you were in the tropical rainforest, peering up at the sun through the natural habitat. Nightfall is that same view, but time-shifted to the evening, when the moon is glowing and the light is cool and dark. We subtly refined many aspects of the original design and added some visual texture and detail. Nightfall is the perfect companion to the original Tendril deck."
The deck has 52 cards, two jokers and two gaff cards, one a double backer and the other a reverse (white background) queen of hearts. Bright metallic ink highlights the black tuck case.
A companion deck, the Tendril Ascendant, also is available in my store, paired with Nightfall or by itself.
