Description

A dream of sequins, silk and tulle. This is this bodice of a Spanish dress from Madrid. Made by Dionisia Ruiz. Gray and black sequins are arranged in a geometric wave pattern. Long sleeves covered with black tulle. Bulges in the sleeves at the underarms - a fashion gimmick in the early 20th century. High stand-up collar. Very well preserved. A few sequins are certainly missing. The embroidered bust piece is so heavy that there is a small tear in the throat area (under the brooch). The brooch is not included.
