The 10 francs silver version of this coin sells for over 300 dollars. This 5 francs version is the same size and has the same design but is not made of silver. The mintage was only 4 thousand coins. If you collect stamp-coin hybrids or embedded coins, don't miss out. This one comes up for auction rarely.
This is a genuine Congo legal tender coin with a genuine San Marino postage stamp honoring a racecar driver imbedded into the coin. It is a large coin, 50mm and weighs 53 grams. The obverse has the famous and handsome Congolese lion. Comes with its original capsule that has some light scratches on the outside.
Most capsules and 2x2 have contact marks on the
outside
from storage.
All individual coins come with a capsule or 2x2 holder.
When capsules and 2x2s have small scratches on the outside, the coin will be removed for photography with gloved hands.
Photos make some bright white silver coins look golden in color but this is an illusion.
