Description
Set of six .45 Schofield snap-caps. This cartridge was developed by Smith & Wesson for their Model 3 revolver. It became the US Army standard pistol cartridge by the late 1870's and was not fully replaced until the introduction of the .45 ACP in 1911. The Schofield round is shorter than the .45 Colt, but can be used in both, making it easier logistically for the U.S. military.Properly sized and seated. Available with spent primers in, holes drilled in the cases, empty primer pockets, or rubber inserts added to the primer pockets.
Great for safely function checking, as an addition to your western re-enactment kit, or display with your unique piece of US military history.
