Description

This vintage wedding gown is new with tags. Featured in Bride’s Magazine. I had to remove the tags to dry clean the dress. The fabric is nylon, polyester and acetate. The color on the tag says white, but I would call it ivory. The dress is lined with a sheer overlay and sheer sleeves. The seams are secure and the zipper works well. The size is 8, but it fits as a 3 or 4. Measurements are as follows:
16” from armpit to armpit
28” sleeves from shoulder to wrist
13.5” across the waist (empire waisted)
55” in length in the front.
The train in the back adds 22.5”.
The order date on the tag reads 9/28/79, making this dress 37 years old! Comes with a union label, care and size tag inside.
Although it is new, there are dark spots on the front middle, on one shoulder and on the train. I'm not sure if they would come out with a stain treatment, but the dry cleaner said he didn't try because he didn't want to risk harming the fabric. There is a pull at the bottom on the train (see picture with my fingers under the pull.) I also think the lace at shoulders is more of a cream color than a white, perhaps from age.
Comes from a smoke free home.
