Pennsylvania Game Commission, 1988, Yellow-Eyed, Snowy Egret, Working Together For Wildlife (WTFW) ERROR Patch
.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission is the wildlife management agency in the State of Pennsylvania.
This patch is part of a collectible series issued by The Pennsylvania Game Commission.
The collectible patch series was started in 1982 and each year a different species of wildlife is featured and issued.
This 1988 Snowy Egret Patch was created in limited quantities by the agency and is now sold out and only available second market from a collector or dealer.
The patch is guaranteed to be an original and not duplication
as the patch was purchased directly from the agency.
The patch features an outdoor scene of a beautiful Yellow-Eyed Snowy Egret taking off from a wet marshy area that he was standing in.
His legs have not yet been raised up and he has just started flapping his wings to begin to leave the marsh area.
A pretty turquoise cloudless sky has been added to the backdrop, adding to the beauty of this patch.
In addition to the beautiful sky, a dead tree snag and some marsh grass have been added to the scene to make the patch even more realistic and pretty.
Surrounding this scene is a yellow border.
Above the Snowy Egret and in this border is the wording “Working Together For Wildlife”.
Below the Snowy Egret, also in the yellow border, is the issuing agency’s name “Pennsylvania Game Commission”.
Just in front of the Snowy Egret is the year the patch was issued “1988” along with the wording “Snowy Egret” telling you what species of animal is featured for the year 1988.
What makes this
patch rare is the
full
, complete yellow eye
that can be seen more clearly in the 4

and 5
th
photographs.
In the normal 1988 Egret patches, the eye is black as can be seen in the 7
th
, 8
th
and 9
th
photographs.
Some of them came through with the yellow eye.
The Yellow-Eyed Egret Patches are considered an error patch and rare and difficult to obtain.
The patch is 4” in diameter, has 8 very vivid colors in it and 2 different styles / sizes of lettering.
If you are a collector of patches, you know that the more colors in a patch, the more valuable the patch is and this one is no exception to the rule.
If you are a collector of these patches, or bird patches, this is sure to be a wonderful addition to your collection as it is truly a beautiful patch and not that often seen on Internet Auction Sites.

After this the cardboard mailer will be placed into a protective bubble wrap mailer and mailed to you.

In doing so, it will include delivery confirmation along with barcode addressing.
