24 year old patch
is part of a collectible series issued by The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is the state agency that is charged with the management, protection and enhancement of the natural resources in the state. As such, they encourage Pennsylvania Citizens to value the natural resources they have, make use of wise conservation practices to protect these resources and most importantly get out into the great outdoors to enjoy the resources.
The Pennsylvania DCNR is the agency in the State of Pennsylvania that oversees the operation of all state parks.
Several different state agencies are housed under the umbrella of DCNR.
The state park system is just one of the agency’s.
This, the Barn Owl Reintroduction Patch is tied into and part of the Pennsylvania State Parks Collectible Patch Series.
The state park collectible patch series was started in 1992 with the Moraine State Park Patch.
Each year a different state park is featured on the issued patch.
The patch series was very short lived ending in 1996 with the rare Presque Isle State Park Patch.
As part of this state park patch series, two species reintroduction patches were created and issued by the Pennsylvania Department Of Conservation and Natural Resources.
These two patches were the Osprey Reintroduction Patch issued in 1994 and the Barn Owl Reintroduction Patch issued in 1997.

This patch was created in limited quantities, is sold out from the agency and is only available second market from a dealer or collector.
The patch is guaranteed to be an original and not duplication as it was acquired directly from the agency.
This sought after patch features a Barn Owl sitting on a fence post in a very colorful outdoor farming scene.
A beautiful barn along with some evergreen trees have been added to the background to increase the patch’s beauty.
Overtop the Barn Owl, stitched in brown thread, is the wording “
1997 Species Reintroduction
” telling you this patch was issued in the year 1997 with the intent to promote the reintroduction of the Barn Owl in the state of Pennsylvania.
At the bottom of the patch, just below the perched Barn Owl, still in brown lettering, is the wording “
Barn Owl
”
telling you what species of wildlife is being featured and promoted on this reintroduction patch.
The patch is 3” x 3 7/8”, has 7 very vivid colors and 4 different size / styles of lettering.
If you are a patch collector, you are aware of the fact that the more colors in a patch the more valuable the patch is.
This one is no exception to this rule and is a patch that is sure to increase in value as it is one of only two patches issued by The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources that deals with species reintroduction in Pennsylvania.
The patch we are selling in this eBay Listing and the patch you will receive are new / unused and have not been sewn on any garment, material or item.
The patch you will receive will be in excellent condition and the same as the one seen in the photographs. We do use stock photographs in our listing ads which means the patch you will receive may or may not vary slightly in color or patch detail.
The patch you receive will be an original, new patch but some patches in the production run do vary slightly from patch to patch.

Which packing method used will depend on the particular item you have won from us.
The shipping and handling charge will include the packing method described in the paragraph above and a shipping label produced using our business PayPal Account.
In doing so, it will include delivery confirmation along with barcode addressing.
