SHAKE-IT TRAINING CARTRIDGESNOT LIVE AMMO
SHAKE-ITs are quality training cartridges made with
three ways
to verify that they are not live rounds.
1. Visual
- see the black rubber in the primer pocket and the blue powder coated bullet.
2. Tactile
- shake the cartridge and you will feel hard pellets inside rattle around.
3. Audible
- shake the cartridge and you can hear the hard pellets rattle. If it rattles when you shake it, it's a SHAKE-IT Training Cartridge.
SHAKE-IT Training Cartridges are hand made by a US Army vet (Vietnam Era), one at a time. They are built from once fired, twice cleaned, and triple inspected brass and other quality components to duplicate the look, weight, feel and operation of live ammo, WITHOUT THE BANG. SHAKE-ITs have
matching head stamps in each pack. Revolver calibers (38 Special, 357 Magnum, 44 Magnum) have six (6) cartridges in each pack. All other calibers have five cartridges in each pack.
SHAKE-ITS will reliably operate as you manually cycle your weapon, or they can be used in live fire training sessions to simulate a failure to cycle/failure to fire. SHAKE-ITs are not affected by the intense heat generated during live fire training, yet will realistically simulate various conditions that may cause a misfire or weapon jam.
Please note that SHAKE-ITs are not
indestructible. We have taken a couple of steps to improve the durability and safety of the SHAKE-IT rounds. The overall length of a SHAKE-IT has been slightly shortened so the bullet cannot possibly engage a hot barrels rifling, yet will still reliably feed and eject properly. SHAKE-ITs are also heavily crimped so they can withstand repeated action cycles that a live round would not normally have to contend with.
Should you damage a SHAKE-IT training cartridge, you can dispose of them in the same manner you would use to dispose of a damaged live round.
Although SHAKE-ITs are made using brass, or nickel coated brass casings, they can be picked up with a strong magnet often used on a range to pickup steel casings. The SHAKE-IT rounds will also visually stand out among the spent steel and brass casings, due to the colored bullet tip,
You, your gun, and those around you, are safer anytime you are using SHAKE-IT Training Cartridges during dry fire and training exercises.
