One of America’s favorite pastimes just became more innovative with the new Laser Ball. The Laser Ball is a normal baseball with about same look, size, shape, and weight of a regulation baseball but with an added bonus.
The Laser Ball features an LCD screen and high-tech electronics that instantly measure and display the speed of your pitch or throw. The product is reasonably easy to use. All that needs to be done is to set the ball to the desired distance by selecting from 8 preset distances. Presets range from 20 to 80 feet including the official Major League pitching distance of 60.5 feet. Also, if you’re not sure of the distance you’re pitching, the Laser Ball comes with a measuring string. After the distance has been set, the player simply gives the ball a throw. As soon as it leaves the player’s hand, the countdown begins and stops when the ball is caught. The Laser Ball will measure speeds of up to 120 miles per hour.
The Laser Baseball features the extraordinary hand sensing technology for pitching practice. The ball has the ability to sense if it is being held or touched by your hand so you can hold and grasp the ball naturally before the pitching. Once you pitch the ball, it will begin calculating your pitch speed. When the ball is caught, the speed of the ball is displayed immediately."
