Description
This is the BEST flapper dress that I have EVER seen!It is truly magnificent!
It is made to look like it is two dresses but it is only one. The sides are net and pleated from the low waist down to handkerchief hemline.
The front is lace with a scalloped edge. It has a low scallop neckline. It has an embroidered lace medallion at chest, at low waist and towards the bottom. It is very sheer.
You can see the three tiered ribbon trim on sides and through the fabric at the low waistline. It forms a bow and long sash on the left side. It has a beautiful spray of millinery flowers in the center of the bow.
The same millinery corsage is on the left shoulder.
This dress is in very good condition for it being 100 years old! However, it is fragile! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND WEARING THIS DRESS! It would be fine to very carefully put on dress form like you see it here.
You can see that the satin ribbon is kind of shredded. Both underarms need repair. There is a hole in the lace front as shown in photo.
The color has probably been darkened a bit from age, but is a rich, fleshy color which has a lovely patina.
All measurements are included in the item specifics.
What an incredible piece of history this is!
