True Vintage 1940s Wedding Dress lace net peplum long sleev button back wearable

Description

Beautiful mid century 1940's vintage wedding dress. It is fashioned from lace ( feels like a cotton or cotton blend)  and net layers over taffeta.( the net feels like cotton as well)  A soft shade of ivory/ off white. Lovely scalloped peplum. The bodice is features an attached bolero like detail and waist up darts.  Satin covered button and loop back closure. Slightly gathered lace long sleeves with button and loops at the wrist. Timeless beauty.
Measurements: For reference, shown photographed on a mannequin with bust 35/ waist 24/ hips 35. I estimate it to fit like an XS in todays sizing. The seams in the bodice are minimal but accessible should you wish to alter.  Compare with your own measurements and allow for some ease.
Bust: 36"
Waist area: 26" measured 7" below the armpit
Hips: open
Shoulder to hem in the front:  approx 59". Taffeta underlayer is narrow hemmed. Net is simply cut/ unfinished.
Condition: The is in overall very good vintage condition. There are some small holes in the net and 2 repairs to the net at the front hem. Underarms are in surprisingly good condition. See pics. Buttons intact. I have not had it cleaned. No funky smells. Wearable with care. Displays well.
