True Vintage 30s 40s White Ivory Satin Silk Chiffon Wedding Dress Halo Veil XS S

Here is a gorgeous late 1930s to early 1940s Wedding dress.  This is a wartime wedding dress as the dress features a sweetheart neckline and veil is a heart shaped halo which were popular for wartime brides.  The dress is in unbelievable excellent condition. There are no signs of aging or yellowing of the material which is very rare.  The metal claps on the side of the dress have no rusting and look brand new. My belief is that this dress was worn once only to be stored away from the light for nearly 80 years.  The dress has a satin bodice with 3/4 sleeves that have ruching details that match the ruching details on the front of the bodice as well.  The shoulders of the dress are accented with shoulder pads which were popular for the silhouette of this era.  The skirt section of the dress has a nylon lining with beautiful ivory silk chiffon overlay that is accented with white satin bows to match the satin bodice of the dress.  As mentioned early the dress is secured on the side with metal hook and eye claps. This could use a professional steam before your big day.  Based on the measurements this would fit a modern size extra small to small depending on your bust and waist sizes.  Please see the measurements for accurate sizing.   Measurements taken when item was laid flat:

Hips = 26" (based on lining measurements)
Top to Waist = 17"
Waist to Bottom = 39"
The veil is a halo heart shaped crown veil and falls to just below the knees when worn.  It shows signs of aging and has a few tiny holes and stains on the bottom of the veil.  Please see my photos for the stains.  It could use a spot treatment on the stains but otherwise is in great condition.
