Vintage 1970’s Bianchi Boutiques of Boston/New York Bridal Wedding Gown In Ivory is a fitted empire design with a caped overlay. The bodice appears to be a soft polyester with a chiffon overlay and has wide sheer straps. The skirt is made from the same polyester fabric with an overskirt of chiffon falling to a chapel length train. The cape is chiffon with a high collar neckline insert of net adorned with lace appliqués, and is attached to the straps only.
Measurements are approximate and are:
Front top of collar to hem - 58”
Front from bottom of empire waist to hem - 47”
Back top of collar to end of train - 85”
Back from bottom of empire waist to end of train - 66”
Measurement around empire waist - 27”
Bust - 33”
Dress was cleaned and stored carefully after 1978 wedding. It is in very good condition with a small snag at the front empire waist as shown in photo. Closures are zipper and hook and eye.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BODICE IS FITTED, SO ALTERATION FOR LARGER SIZES IS NOT RECOMMENDED. DRESS WILL NEED PROFESSIONAL CLEANING AND PRESSING BEFORE WEARING.
