VINTAGE MAURER IVORY HEAVY SATIN BRIDAL GOWN w BEADED BODICE & LONG TRAIN

Description

This is a beautiful heavy satin wedding gown from Maurer.  It was stored away in a box with moth balls and placed inside a cedar chest decades ago.  I think that is why the beading on the bodice is still in such good condition.  There is a single blue bead on the front that might be there for the "something blue" tradition.  The gown closes on the side with a metal (sign of vintage) zipper.     The measurements are as follows:  Waist app. 14" flat across.  Bustline, just under the arm seam, 18 1/2" flat across.    The pointed sleeve is 24" in length.  The front of the gown is 38" from the natural waist to the hem. The back is 82" in length to trail behind you as you walk down the aisle.   As with any vintage garment, it has been worn and stored away.  I did my best to iron and show it well in photos, but it is sold as is. I can see no rips or stains anywhere on the gown.  There is some surface dirt on the lower part of the gown and along the hem.  It should come out with a dry cleaning.  The gown may have become a deeper ivory with age, but it is an even color and will look lovely in candlelight.  Winner to pay shipping and handling.  I accept Paypal.
