  • Condition: Dress was dry cleaned and unfortunately caused the lace to shatter on sleeves and skirt inserts. Still wearable, but lace may need replacing or reinforcing with another layer of lace. Satin in very good vintage condition, all buttons and loops intact. Small tear in front neckline. Wax flower crown in very good vintage condition - piece is flexible and can be pinned to fit a variety of head sizes or hairstyles. Please zoom in on photos and feel free to email with questions.     Description

    Stunning vintage 1941 ivory liquid satin wedding dress with cathedral train and wax flower crown headpiece. Pleated bust, long, puffed shoulder sleeves, keyhole back, princess seams on front and wide, bias cut gored skirt. Satin covered button and loop back closure and sleeve cuffs. Dress was found with extensive water spots and wrinkles - unfortunately dry cleaner damaged the lace, see photos and condition description. Wearable with the caveat that lace now has a "cobwebby" effect that is still quite lovely. A slip or new lace overlay would solve the issue. Includes rare original wax flower headpiece. Very long cathedral train adds to the beauty and glamour of this gown. Please feel free to ask questions before purchasing - sorry, no returns on this item.
