Vtg Homemade Ivory Long Lace & Satin Wedding or Party Dress-23 Front Buttons

Description

Offered is this long fancy dress, suitable for an informal wedding or perhaps a party. It appears to be made of satin or some other shiny material. The upper portion is overlaid with flower-patterned lace and the lower portion is overlaid in plain netting (tulle?). There are 23 lace-covered buttons down the front but the dress actually fastens with snaps hidden behind the buttons; one snap every other button. There are three matching buttons with the same snap arrangement on each sleeve. There is no store tag and the dress looks homemade. It was found in an old trunk with vintage items so I presume this is old enough to be vintage, also.
There is no tag or size information but it is approx. 56" from top to bottom, 20" from the waistline to the top and 36" from the waistline to the bottom. When laid out flat it is about 15" across at the waist, The sleeves are about 19" long from armpit to end. Overall, it is in good condition, but there are several places where there are small holes or tears in the lace or netting. It has been hand-washed and appears clean. The hanger is not included.
I hope this can be repaired by someone who knows how and put to good use!
